More life balance, step by step

I reckon most people I meet have “balance in life” as one of their goals. Our lives are so busy these days that we constantly seem to juggle with all the different things we
want to do, “need” to do or “should be “doing.
We want a challenging career or business, lots of time with our family, expand our spirituality, have great hobbies, spend quality time with our partner, keep the house organized AND… relax! Wow, a whole list of things. So how do we create balance in our lives?
I think the crucial thing here is to take this step by step. You see, I believe it is almost impossible to do everything on our wish list the way we would like to. So I suggest
taking small actions to improve our balance step by step.
To start creating more balance, take one area you spend relatively a lot of time on and that you wish to decrease in importance, and see if you can allocate some time to the ones you would like to improve on.
It doesn’t have to be major, just take small steps. For instance, you may be able to leave work a bit earlier (or at the normal time…) two times a week so you can go to the gym, pick up a hobby or spend more time with your partner.
You may like to spend more time in nature doing something active. Maybe you can inspire your partner to start biking together or to join a hiking club.
Make 1 or 2 changes in your routine in the next few weeks and truly make an effort to stick to them. Once you are comfortable with the new routine, set another goal, and keep on going like this. Eventually you will be amazed by the impact these small steps will make!
